What is couples therapy or couples counselling?

I'm not here to settle who unloads the dishwasher or who's on kid duty on Saturday.

Those arguments are rarely the real argument. Underneath, there's usually a question about closeness, safety, and being heard.

That's where I start: we look behind the daily friction, at what you really want from each other, in your life together and in your intimicy.

My approach: EFT

Stop missing each other. Start meeting each other.

I work with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which I deepened through further training with Christine Weiss (2024) and a course in systemic sex and couples therapy with Prof. Dr. Ulrich Clement. EFT starts from the idea that almost every recurring row hides an unmet attachment need: the longing to be seen, heard or held. So instead of working on the surface of your conflict, I help you, as a sex therapist and couples counsellor, to spot the patterns underneath and find new, more secure ways of connecting.
